Rumor has it they've got a pretty decent Art Museum in Des Moines. I used to live in Kansas and kept meaning to road trip there...
The art museum there is fantastic- really great.
And, if the rest of Iowa is any indicator, I bet there are some really great thrifts there. There sure are a bevy of them in Iowa City- sometimes I drive there for the weekend just to thrift. It's amazing- two thrift stores with their own button sections! I mean, really, it's pretty incredible.
